alzheimer's & Dementia SUPPORT GROUP Exclusively for Cresswind Caregivers
We are pleased to announce that, The Cresswind Community Fund has initiated with and will assist, Beyond Dementia Coalition in Hall County, to form a dementia support group exclusively for Cresswind residents.
Dementia support groups are designed to help unpaid caregivers of a person with dementia. The caregiver may be supporting a person with Alzheimer's, fronto-temportal dementia (FTD), vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, or any other form of dementia.
Dementia support groups can be an extremely helpful resource for not only emotional support to the caregiver, but also logistical advice related to providing dementia care. In their role, dementia caregivers are prone to emotional and logistical isolation and support groups are a great way to mitigate the negative impacts of providing dementia care.
The first meeting of the Cresswind Dementia Caregiver Support Group will be on Tuesday July 23rd 12:30 pm in the Georgia Room. We welcome and encourage you to participate in this First Cresswind meeting.
Future meetings are planned to be held every 4th Tuesday of the month, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM in the Cresswind Clubhouse (Georgia Room), through December 2024.
To attend or if questions, please complete and submit the following form. One of the support group facilitators will contact you before the next meeting.
