with knowledge, skills, and practice.
Our Virtual Dementia Tour(R) training packages are organized in a sequential framework, with the PRO and PRO Plus packages each building on the previous component. Business, faith, healthcare, and social services leaders may provide this education as an operational/customer service initiative or an employee wellness initiative. The Dementia PRO with VDT(R) package is well-suited for both operational /customer service and employee wellness initiatives. The Dementia PRO Plus with VDT Training package is typically an operational/customer service initiative. Please learn more about all three below.

which option is right for you?
If your goals are operational such as floor logistics, staffing, and/or customer experience, we recommend the VDT or the Dementia PRO with VDT package. If your staff provides hands-on support to seniors that may have cognitive decline, the Dementia PRO Plus package is a valuable option to include.
For human resources/employee wellness programs, all components are valuable. Whereas many will be interested in the VDT, a subset of your staff - the caregivers - will engage with the PRO and PRO Plus sessions.
vIRTUAL DEMENTIA TOUR(R)
Host the Virtual Dementia Tour for your staff, members, clients, volunteers, congregants, or community. Beyond Dementia Coalition will conduct the tour at your location, providing registration and marketing support and all equipment and materials. When participants EXPERIENCE effects of dementia hands-on they are better primed to focus and absort new information. Based on your goals, we will facilitate the final, debrief phase of the tour in a rolling format (singles or pairs) or group format.

Channel the new awareness created by the VDT - and an openness or even curiosity for more information - into motion with a cohort-style educational session immediately after the VDT. Through various learning modalities, participants will EXAMINE cognitive changes and their symptoms and EXPLORE interpersonal communications with those who have dementia, presented in the context of the work that you do as an organization and the organization's core values. Up to 30 participants.
Dementia Symptoms & Principles of Care - 2 Hours*

Building upon the learning gained during the VDT and the Pro sessions, participants will EXPERIMENT with techniques and skills for interacting with a person with dementia during this interactive group experience, presented in the context of the work that you do as an organization and the organization's core values. Through guided solo work, teamwork, and role play they will practice applying this information in real world scenarios. Up to 30 participants.
Dementia Care Skills & Techniques - 1.5 Hours*
*plus time for the Virtual Dementia Tour, which can be conducted prior to the cohort training modules or simultaneously.
